The National Council for Innovation, a Washington D.C. based not-for-profit organization, was established in November 2006 to combat prejudice and discrimination by providing opportunities for disadvantaged foreign nationals – to receive scholarships and fellowship, practical experience, educational support activities, personal development skills training, and other assistance to help them increase their career and professional opportunities. In addition, NCI conducts research and disseminates information to the general public about employment, immigration laws and best practices with respect to foreign nationals, and particularly with respect to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
